Last night I went to a talk titled "Girly Thoughts" given by author, and psychologist Patricia O'Gorman. The talk focused on her new book titled The Girly Thoughts 10-Day Detox Plan: The Resilient Woman¹s Guide to Saying NO to Negative Self-Talk and YES to Personal Power. The book focuses on the way women subconsciously think about themselves and the constant battle with their inner dialogue about. The Unmet Need (coming soon) placed first in the Social Entrepreneurship & Non-profit category this weekend at the New York Business Plan Competition. After a 10 minute pitch, followed by a 5 minute Q & A,  a panel of three judges decided The Unmet Need deserved the $2,000 dollar fund as well as advance to the state wide competition.
